A year of pandemic life has been taking its toll and I just needed a break from the day to day of running an online shop, even one on the smaller side like mine.
I'll be back sometime in June or July, hopefully with some nice changes and new surprises. In the meantime, a lot of my art, books, and gifts are available on my Amazon page and at BuyOlympia. Thanks!
Shipping times may be a little longer than usual as the USA and other countries navigate the pandemic.
All items ship from either my fulfillment partner, or direct from the printer. Both companies are implementing their own safety protocols at this time to handle shipping while protecting the safety of their employees.
As always we are doing our best and you can email with any questions!
USA postage is $5+ by weight, and orders over $50 ship free. The most accurate postage is calculated at checkout based on your cart and delivery address. Orders will typically be sent out within 2-3 days, and you'll receive tracking info by email. International delivery times vary, and tracking may be limited. You are responsible for any customs/import fees. Read the full Shipping Policy here.
Apparel, hats, tote bags, prints, and a few other items are made to order by a third-party printer. This allows me to offer a wider range of sizes and color options without taking up too much space or guessing on what people might want. The quality is great, and I have been working with the same printer for nearly three years now with very few issues ever. Individual product pages will have sizing and garment information when available.
These items ship to you directly from the printer once they are produced, so it might take an extra few days for them to be made, depending on how many orders the printer has at the time. This also means the items will ship separately from other items in your order, and separately from each other (for example, a print and a t-shirt will ship separately because the print needs to go in a poster tube).
Made to order items may ship via alternate carriers depending on availability and the location of the production facility (such as items made within Europe to reduce the postage cost). You'll receive a tracking link with this information once packages are sent out.
Returns are not accepted. In the rare case of items damaged in transit or an incorrect order sent out, I am happy to work with you on a replacement! In general I always want to offer good customer service, but due to the nature of what I offer, the cost of a return can cost as much as the initial order.
If you're not sure about something, you can always ask questions before you order! I'm happy to help by email.
People sometimes ask where is the "best place" to order from to "give me money." That's so appreciated (and funny) but I always want you to purchase from wherever is most economical for you! If you have a gift card to another store or can save a few bucks, I think that's awesome.
Everything on this site is designed by me, but some items are published in collaboration with others. For example, Penguin Random House publishes most of my books, and then I buy copies from them to make available here.
My books may be available near you! Find a local bookseller here.
Many of my books and some items are on Amazon too. I earn an extra affiliate commission when purchases are made via this link.
I'd love to have my art and gifts in your shop! Please visit wholesale.buyolympia.com to create an account and take advantage of their low minimum orders and broad catalog of independent artists and brands.
Hi my name is Adam J. Kurtz and I'm a graphic designer who started doing little projects on the side of my day jobs. Over time, the postcards and zines grew into a books, stationery, a gift line called ADAMJK®, and a new career of making cute things that nobody asked for.
My art and products are not always good but it's always me! This is a very small business with 1 employee (it's me) but I do my best to make sure your experience is a good one. Every purchase helps me keep making art (and lets me take care of myself and the people I love).
Thanks so much for your interest and support. I couldn't do this without you. –Adam
